        IMPERIAL MAJESTY INTRODUCES REGAL
EMPRESS: A ROYAL MATCH IN CRUISING

Longtime South Florida short cruise leader Imperial Majesty has introduced the Regal Empress into service for three-day/two-night journeys from Ft. Lauderdale to the Bahamas.

The Regal Empress is a classic vessel built to the luxury standards of the era of great cruising adventures around the world usually reserved for the rich and famous. The ship has been in near continuous service for over 50 years, but was last refitted just six years ago to meet the latest international Safety of Life At Sea standards.

These upgrades include a new buffet area, more balconied cabins, a children's playroom and an Internet bar. Nevertheless, the character of this classic ship was carefully maintained in its vintage features and ambiance reflecting its long history. This includes rich wood paneling, the old fashioned enclosed promenade (for those cross Atlantic voyages of old) and an elegant main dining room with its view of the ocean.

The Regal Empress has one of the friendliest cruise staff of any of some 60 cruises I've taken. Maybe it's the fact that they have to be ready for a 1,000-passenger turnover every other day. But I think it is that they want you to have a good time and genuinely care, from Ships Master Stavros Contas to Gary Yerdon, the ship's agent in Ft. Lauderdale. Then there's fun loving Lisa in the gift shop, Ronato the Bar Manager and Noel the Food Manager. Representing over 40 countries they make the trip a world aside experience.

Departures are every two days alternating odd and even days depending on the month (for August odd numbered days ie. August 1, 3, 5 etc and for September even numbered days 2, 4, 6 etc).

For the quick get away there is no beating the full range of entertainment, casino opportunities, tours in Nassau or just going on your own, great shopping and of course the full menu of great cuisine. Or you can relax on the deck, read a book, listen to island music…. and just wait for the nightly entertainment.

The Regal Empress is 610 feet long with 457 cabins that can accommodate up to 1,190 passengers. Bookings are easily made by calling 1-800-394-3865 or locally 954-956-9505.

Set your sights on this cruise and enjoy the history, ambiance and experience fit for royalty on the REGAL EMPRESS of Imperial Majesty Cruise Line.
